Gordy’s Market hires Coborn's vet as VP of merchandising

Industry veteran Andy W. Knoblauch joins Chippewa Falls, Wis.-based Gordy’s Market as VP of merchandising, the retailer announced.

Knoblauch most recently served as SVP of center store at Coborn’s. He has worked in the grocery industry for 30 years and has received numerous NGA Creative Choice Awards for his work.

“I cannot begin to express my excitement for being able to stay in this great grocery business. I look forward to working with the Gordy's team and assisting them with their incredible success they've been having in Western Wisconsin. I also look forward to continuing my relationships with the vendor and supplier partners with whom I’m grateful to have been able to get to know over the years, and to mutually work together to satisfy the needs of Gordy's customers,” Knoblauch said in a press release.

“Andy will be a great asset to our team at Gordy’s and will help us in our continued efforts to improve the customer experience here at Gordy’s Market,” said Gordy’s president, Jeff Schafer.

The retailer operates 20 Gordy’s grocery stores and 11 Gordy’s Express gas stations in Wisconsin.
