SPRINGDALE, Ark. — Harps Food Stores here said Kim Eskew has been appointed president and chief operating officer of the 53-store chain. Eskew has over 30 years' experience at Harps, most recently as the company's executive vice president. Roger Collins remains chairman and chief executive officer. “Kim has done an outstanding job for Harps and has made a significant contribution to the company's success,” said Collins. Harps recently unveiled plans to acquire the eight-store Wallace & Owens chain.

WEIS MARKETS ADDS 3 MANAGERS

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here has announced three additions to its management team: Mickey Stringham as director of produce and floral; Mike Mignola as general manager of the Maryland/West Virginia region; and Joe Harris as district manager for Harrisburg, Pa. Stringham reports to Harry Giglio, vice president of perishables. Most recently, he worked for Shoppers Food and Pharmacy, Fairfax, Va. Mignola will oversee the day-to-day operations of 27 stores in Maryland and West Virginia, reporting to Jay Ropietski, vice president of store operations. Prior to joining Weis Markets, Mignola worked for Price Chopper, Schenectady, N.Y. Harris will oversee 15 stores in the Harrisburg region, reporting to Brad Kochenour, regional director. Prior to joining the company, Harris managed Price Chopper's Edwardsville, Pa., store.
