Koch Joins Weis as Fresh VP

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets on Monday said Dan Koch has joined the company as vice president of fresh merchandising.

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets on Monday said Dan Koch has joined the company as vice president of fresh merchandising.

He will oversee fresh departments, including meat, produce, bakery, deli/food service, seafood and floral, and will report to Kurt Schertle, senior vice president, sales and merchandising.

Koch replaces Harry Giglio, who in January joined A&P as vice president of meat and seafood.

Koch has worked in various store operations and perishable merchandising positions for Fresh Brands, Fleming and Supervalu. Prior to joining Weis, he was vice president of deli/foodservice/bakery for Price Chopper Supermarkets, Schenectady, N.Y.
