Pink Named President of E.W. James
E.W. James and Sons Supermarkets here yesterday said it has promoted Ken Pink to president of the company. He retains the chief operating officer role, and succeeds Lee Ann James as president.

UNION CITY, Tenn. — E.W. James and Sons Supermarkets here yesterday said it has promoted Ken Pink to president of the company.
He retains the chief operating officer role, and succeeds Lee Ann James as president. She remains chief executive officer. Pink joined E.W. James in June 2004 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He is the first non-family member to be named as president of the family owned company.
Pink has 20 years of experience in the industry, including a stint as chief information officer of Harmon’s City, an 11-store chain based in Salt Lake City. He also spent 12 years with Fleming Foods in a variety of positions.
He has served on several standards committees in industry associations and is a member of the board of the Tennessee Grocers Association.
