PRICE CHOPPER PROMOTES MAUSERT

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets said it has promoted Rick Mausert to director of non-resale purchasing, reporting directly to Steven Duffy, vice president of architectural design and purchasing services. In his new position, Mausert will have purchasing responsibilities for the main office, warehouse and 119 stores. He has been with Price Chopper since 1974, holding several positions in the stores and main office. He most recently was manager of continuous improvement.

BARR NAMED VP FOR OHIO GROCERS

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Grocers Association here said Kelly Barr has been promoted to vice president, government relations. Barr has held the title of director of government relations for the association since January 2007.

RILA ELEVATES CHROUST, O'NEIL

ARLINGTON, Va. — Retail Industry Leaders Association here last week said Casey Chroust has been promoted to executive vice president for retail operations. He had been senior vice president of retail operations. Chroust leads RILA's operational excellence and educational efforts within the association's five key retail disciplines: supply chain, finance, human resources, asset protection and sustainability. Prior to joining RILA in 2007, Chroust spent about 10 years at BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting, in its retail management consulting practice. Also, RILA said it has promoted Azure O'Neil to director of meetings, from manager of meetings. O'Neil, who also joined the association in 2007, will be responsible for planning and executing all RILA events.
