Previously, Himebauch served as chief HR officer for Jacksonville, Fla.-based department store chain Stein Mart. He joined the company in that role in October 2016.

“I love working in the retail industry and am especially excited about joining The Fresh Market,” Himebauch said in a statement. “I am very optimistic about the company, our team members and making The Fresh Market not only a great place to shop, but also a great place to work.”

Prior to Stein Mart, Himebauch was chief HR officer at APR Energy from December 2011 to August 2016 and senior director of field human resources at Winn-Dixie Stores from September 2007 to December 2011. Before that, he served as regional vice president of HR for Wyndham Worldwide following more than 10 years in various HR roles at Darden Restaurants.
