A&P Says Only 2 Food Basics to Close

MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here said Wednesday that “due to new opportunities,” the Wallington, N.J., Food Basics store will remain open. A spokeswoman for the retailer on Tuesday had indicated that the store was scheduled to close. A&P has closed Food Basics stores in Glassboro and Dumont, N.J., as previously reported by SN.
