Alison Gregas now in charge of Weis Markets' private brands

She will oversee new product development, day-to-day management

Weis Markets has announced the recent promotion of Alison Gregas to director of private brands.

In this position, she is now responsible for new product development and the day-to-day management of the company’s 6,500-item private brand program, including its Weis Quality, Weis By Nature and Weis Organics products.

Gregas began working with Sunbury, Penn.-based Weis as a business manager for Daymon Worldwide, the company’s in-house private brands brokerage company. She first came to work for the company in 2020 as a private brands sourcing specialist and was promoted to private brands manager, the position she held before her promotion.

She reports to Bob Gleeson, senior vice president of merchandising and marketing.

Founded in 1912, Weis Markets, Inc., is a Mid Atlantic food retailer operating 197 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and Virginia.
