NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — Budwey’s Super Markets is selling its three stores here to its supplier, Olean Wholesale Grocery Cooperative, the Buffalo News reported Tuesday.

The report said Frank Budwey and Olean officials were in the process of finalizing the deal, saying Olean would take over the stores located in North Tonawanda, Kenmore and Newfane, N.Y., with the intention of seeking a franchise operator to run them.
Budwey’s was founded by Frank Budwey’s grandmother in 1922.
Member-owned Olean, based in Olean, N.Y., supplies more than 100 stores in Upstate New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
