CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. — C&S Wholesale Grocers is planning to close a warehouse here that had supplied A&P stores in New York, according to a local press report. The stores will instead be supplied from warehouses in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, Newsday reported, quoting the president of Teamsters Local 707. About 390 workers are affected, the article said. Neither the Teamsters local nor C&S Wholesale could be reached for comment. A&P, which recently merged with Pathmark, has outsourced its distribution to C&S since 2005.
