LAVAL, Quebec — Convenience-store chain Alimentation Touche-Card on Monday nominated a slate of nine candidates for election to the board of directors of the c-store chain it intends to take over, Casey’s General Stores.

Casey’s, based in Ankeny, Iowa, in a statement Monday said it would “evaluate Couche-Tard’s submission and candidates consistent with the company’s bylaws.” Couche-Tard last week announced a tender offer for all of Casey’s outstanding shares at $36 per share. Casey’s previously said that offer was too low but more recently said it would evaluate the offer.
