Discount retailer now has stores in all 48 states within continental U.S.

Dollar General now has a presence in the state of Montana, reports Yahoo. The discount retailer just had  a grand opening in Columbia Falls, Mont., and now has a store in all 48 states within the continental U.S.

The Dollar General grand opening in Montana included gift cards and product samples. The company also made a $10,000 literacy donation to a local elementary school..  

“Today marks an exciting milestone in our history as we extend our ability to provide customers with convenient and affordable access to household essentials throughout all 48 continental states,” said Steve Deckard, executive vice president of growth and emerging markets for Dollar General.

DG is also in the process of building stores in Lincoln and Sanders counties in Montana. Those locations are expected to open later this fall.
