NEW YORK — Ferries will provide free weekend service this summer from lower Manhattan to Fairway’s store in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

New York Water Taxi ferries will operate from Pier 11 in lower Manhattan to the new Van Brunt Street stop, directly behind Fairway Red Hook, according to the Fairway Facebook page.

“From the restaurants, bars and vintage shops, to the corner bodegas, small businesses define Red Hook,” Fairway wrote in a Facebook post. “Come experience all that Red Hook has to offer and more.”

The ferries will operate from May 25 through Labor Day weekend. They will also stop at Brooklyn's IKEA superstore.
