DALLAS — Food Marketing Institute presented its 2009 Store Manager of the Year Awards last week at Future Connect here.

  • Bob Gillick of a ShopRite in Yonkers, N.Y., won for small chains, for tripling operating income and community work.

  • Jeff Barricks of Safeway in Corvallis, Ore., won for large chains, for shrink reduction and other operation measures, and promoting diversity in partnership with Oregon State.
