TORONTO — The eight former Super Fresh stores acquired by Canadian operator Natural Market Restaurant Group are reopening under a new banner to be known as Fresh & Green’s.

Locals reports in Maryland noted several of the stores — acquired in a bankruptcy auction from A&P last month — have already reopened after short closures, although the stores have posted notices that transitions to the new brand and offerings would take place gradually.

Matt Williams, chief executive officer of Natural Market, told SN last month the stores would carry more prepared foods and natural/organic selections than they did previously under the Super Fresh banner.
