In May, Giant Eagle announced a “price lock” campaign for the summer — that campaign will now be extended into the fall, reports news site WPXI.

The goal of the campaign, which also will be available at GetGo Cafe & Market, Giant’s convenience brand, is to keep certain items, some seasonal, at a price that would not change during the length of the promotion.

The summer program, which includes over 800 products, was supposed to end on Aug. 9, but now prices will stay locked down until Nov. 11.

Giant Eagle Interim CEO Bill Artman said the price lock concept was developed after listening to shoppers and team members, reading information, and even talking to friends and neighbors.

Shoppers can track the price lock items in the store’s weekly circular.
