Giant Preps for Perry Hall Opening

LANDOVER, Md. — Ahold’s Giant-Landover division will open its newest store Friday in Perry Hall, Md., at the site of a former SuperFresh.

A&P closed the location last year. Giant acquired the lease for the store in May.

The 56,000-square-foot store will include full-service pharmacy, floral, seafood, deli, meat and bakery departments, and new in-store technologies including the Scan It! hand-held devices allowing shoppers to scan and bag their own groceries as they shop.

Giant is expected to make a donation to the Perry Hall United Methodist Church Food Pantry during a preview event Thursday evening.
