CHICAGO — Information Resources Inc. here yesterday said it would begin providing data from its consumer panel to Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Ark. In addition, IRI said it would provide specialized marketing and merchandising analytic services for Wal-Mart, and will also provide in-store audit services for Wal-Mart's in-store CPG displays. Wal-Mart currently uses the IRI RxPulse Patient Panel for health care data. POS data from Wal-Mart stores will still not be included in IRI's product sales data, however, an IRI spokeswoman told SN.
