Kaltenbach Named Food 4 Less President

Kroger Co. said Bryan Kaltenbach has been named president of the chain's Food 4 Less division.

CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. here on Friday said Bryan Kaltenbach has been named president of the chain's Food 4 Less division. The division, based in Compton, Calif., operates 146 warehouse stores in Southern California, Nevada, Illinois and Indiana under the Food 4 Less banner and in Central and Northern California under the FoodsCo banner.

Kaltenbach was formerly senior vice president, sales and marketing, for Food 4 Less. He succeeds Dave Hirz, who left Food 4 Less earlier this month to become president of Smart & Final, Los Angeles.

Kaltenbach, 54, began his caerer in 1973 at Alpha Beta Markets, which merged with Food 4 Less in 1991 and became part of Kroger in 1999.
