DENVER — Members of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 here “overwhelmingly” rejected a contract offer from King Soopers and urged chain owner Kroger Co. to return to the bargaining table, the union said Tuesday.

King Soopers workers in other parts of the state were expected to vote yesterday and today on Kroger’s offer, which has been criticized by union leaders.
