Kroger’s Rewards debit card will no longer be accepted at Kroger stores, reports the U.S. Sun.

The Sun confirmed with the grocer that the card will be discontinued as the retailer comes up with better ways to serve its customers.

The Kroger Rewards card offered discounts on multiple brands and would give shoppers fuel points on all purchases. Shoppers would receive half of every $1 spent on fuel points. So, $100 on groceries would equal 50 fuel points. The card also offered 2% savings on Kroger’s private label — Our Quality Brands.

Several shoppers have turned to social media to complain about the move, and Kroger responded with the following:

“We appreciate your feedback regarding our Kroger Rewards Debit card being discontinued.

“We are always looking to improve our products and shopping experience so we are sun-setting this to focus on enhancing other savings solutions for our customers.

“Please feel free to visit our all payments and services page online to learn more about our products and offers that are right for you.”
