Loblaw Superstores to Open 24 Hours

In a sign of continuing battles between Loblaw and Wal-Mart in Canada, Loblaw said Thursday that it will open select Real Canadian Superstore locations 24 hours a day for the holiday season.

TORONTO — In a sign of continuing battles between Loblaw and Wal-Mart in Canada, Loblaw here said Thursday that it will open select Real Canadian Superstore locations 24 hours a day for the holiday season. The new hours go into effect at 19 Superstore locations beginning Monday and lasting through Dec. 24, Loblaw said in a statement. Wal-Mart Canada last month announced that it would increase the number of its stores open 24 hours during the holiday season.
