INDIANAPOLIS — Marsh Supermarkets here said this week it would convert seven additional stores in Ohio to the Marsh Hometown Markets banner, after a test of two stores in northern Cincinnati generated “positive customer response.” The chain will convert four LoBill price-impact stores to the new banner, encompassing three stores in Hamilton, Ohio, and one in Fairfield, Ohio. The company said the stores would “retain the LoBill value proposition.” In addition, the chain said it would convert three traditional Marsh stores in the Cincinnati area to the Marsh Hometown Markets banner. “We are very encouraged by the initial consumer response to this new format,” said Frank Lazaran, chairman, president and chief executive officer, Marsh, in a prepared statement. “We will continue to monitor the progress of these stores and will evaluate the timing of future conversions accordingly.”
