PITTSBURGH — Employees of Giant Eagle represented by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 23 have voted to approve a new three-year deal with the retailer here. The union and Giant Eagle came to a tentative agreement last week. The deal calls for pay and pension increases while providing Giant Eagle with more flexibility in scheduling, reports said. The contract covers 5,100 workers at 36 stores in western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
