“Jungle” Jim Bonaminio, the flamboyant founder and driving creative force behind Jungle Jim’s International Markets, will deliver the keynote address at the Crosset Co.’s 2019 Produce & Floral Conference next month in Cincinnati.

Bonaminio will share how his passion and commitment to making grocery shopping fun helped him grow a tiny roadside produce stand into the “food lover’s paradise” now found in two of the nation’s largest and most unique grocery stores.

“We are very excited that Jim is available to jump-start the educational series at our 2019 Produce & Floral Conference,” said Greg Kurkjian, Crosset VP and general manager, in a release. “Creating unique, engaging in-store experiences is essential to retailer differentiation, building shopper loyalty and stimulating impulse purchases.

“His enthusiasm and energetic personality are contagious,” he continued.  “I have no doubt Jim will inspire all attendees to think and act in new ways when they return home.”

Joining Crosset as the hosts of this year’s event are sister companies Castellini Wholesale, Club Chef and RWI Logistics. The daylong event Aug. 28 will feature guest speakers and industry panelists and will also include networking and sales opportunities throughout the day.

Registration is now open for the event, which will be held at the Great American Ball Park, home to the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. Retailers, foodservice operators, growers, suppliers and other industry partners can now register online at Crosset's website.
