Hy-Vee Inc. is preparing to open its 20th Wahlburgers at Hy-Vee restaurant on Dec. 8 at the Rock Bridge Hy-Vee in Columbia, Mo. The grocer also announced plans to open 24 additional restaurants across its eight-state region in 2021.

Wahlburgers at Hy-Vee offers most of the same menu options as Hy-Vee’s six full-service Wahlburgers locations, including signature burgers, home-style sides, housemade condiments, salads, sandwiches, shakes and a full-service bar with beer, wine and cocktails.

The newest Wahlburgers at Hy-Vee takes over a full-service Market Grille inside the Rock Bridge Hy-Vee at 405 E. Nifong Blvd. It will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hy-Vee said customers can still order breakfast from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., and a full menu is available to order online via Hy-Vee Mealtime to Go.

Chef Paul Wahlberg created the Wahlburgers franchise in 2011 along with his two brothers, actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg. In 2017, Hy-Vee announced plans to build, own and operate 26 Wahlburgers restaurants with the goal of diversifying its business model. The first Hy-Vee owned Wahlburgers opened in 2018 at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Hy-Vee has more than 275 retail stores in the Midwest.
