Adding a new layer to its standing as the first grocery chain to offer its own exclusive brand of gluten-free foods, Aldi’s LiveGFree line has earned a new distinction with the Good Housekeeping Seal.
Bringing what it terms "America's most trusted emblem" to its nearly 1,800 stores across the country, Aldi’s VP of Corporate Buying Scott Patton said the seal “is a true testament to the quality of gluten-free products we offer shoppers."
"We know gluten-free foods are important to shoppers, and LiveGFree products quickly became a favorite after we launched the brand in 2014," Patton said in a statement. "We set the standard for quality and affordability, meeting the evolving needs of shoppers. The backing of the Good Housekeeping Seal reinforces that commitment."
Jaclyn London, Good Housekeeping Institute’s nutrition director, commended Aldi’s “dedication to quality and variety across the LiveGFree product line. It's especially exciting that the LiveGFree product line has earned the Good Housekeeping Seal, as May is National Celiac Awareness month."
Introduced in 1909, the Good Housekeeping Seal is a symbol of quality assurance and consumer protection and is billed as “the gold standard in helping to guide shoppers.”
Aldi’s LiveGFree line spans nearly 50 products, including common items such as pretzels, bread and brown rice crisps, as well as unexpected finds such as granola, deluxe macaroni and cheese and baking mixes.
