No-frills German discount grocery chain Aldi will open its doors on March 3 to residents of Mobile, Ala., according to the company’s website. The hard-discount brand’s new location will be at 5021 Rangeline Crossing Dr.

News of the store opening brings Aldi's goal of becoming the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of 2022 even closer.

“We’re new to the city, and we are more than ready to serve and support our community—we’ve got fresh produce and everyday essentials at the low prices you need,” Aldi’s official website said.

Looking to create a seamless shopping experience, Aldi said last month that it will also open a new 564,000-square-foot regional distribution center in Loxley, Ala., later this year. The company said the distribution center will aim to support approximately 100 new stores throughout Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle.

In addition to opening stores, Aldi will increase access to convenient online shopping options. The company will expand its Curbside Grocery Pickup offering from 1,200 to 1,500 stores by the end of the year to make shopping quick and easy for customers. Whether in-store or online, the Aldi mission is to make shopping as convenient and affordable as possible.

Aldi has more than 2,100 stores across the United States, with plans to open approximately 150 new stores this year.
