All four of the Bales & Lamb's Marketplace stores in the Portland, Ore., area will close by the end of October, according to local news reports. Earlier this month, it was announced that two of the stores—Bales Farmington Marketplace in Aloha and Bales Cedar Mills Marketplace in Portland—would be closing. This week came word that the remaining two locations—Palisades Marketplace in Lake Oswego and Garden Home Marketplace in Portland—would close as well.

Employees at the Palisades and Garden Home stores were notified on Sept. 10 about the stores’ closing. Social media sites for the stores have already been taken down, and local reports indicate the store shelves are already becoming bare.

Miller Family Holdings and its subsidiary, Signature Northwest, which runs the stores, purchased the Lambs locations in 2015, adding them to its two Bales Marketplace. At the time, four Lambs stores were in operation, but the Wilsonville store was sold to Safeway in 2016 and the Lamb's Stroheckers in southwest Portland was closed shortly after it was purchased.
