As part of a revamped digital footprint built around adding convenience to the warehouse shopping trip, BJ's Wholesale Club is now offering its members the ability to shop online and pick up orders in-store in as little as two hours.

The offering follows the introduction earlier this month of an enhanced mobile shopping app that allows shoppers to “swipe right” to build a wish list, which the company described as a virtual replication of the “treasure hunt” experience of visiting a store.

The Westborough, Mass.-based club chain said its website also now allows shoppers to add digital coupons to select online orders. Previously, shoppers could only utilize digital coupons for in-store shopping.

“We're excited to roll out these new benefits for our members,” Rafeh Masood, SVP and chief digital officer for BJ's, said in a statement.

Shoppers using the store pickup option can make online orders, and then head to their local club for pickup after being notified by text or email. A greeter will direct shoppers to the pickup area in-store. The free service is available in all of BJ’s 215 clubs to its paid in-club members.

Shoppers visiting BJs.com will also be treated to a new look and feel, providing a more personalized and easier-to-navigate layout, the company said.
