Giant Co. Plans Larger Store for Doylestown, Pa.

Carlisle, Pa.-based The Giant Co. is planning a new, larger store in Doylestown, Pa., that will replace its current location at 4357 West Swamp Road.

Construction on the new 72,500-square-foot store, to be located at 4377 West Swamp Road, is scheduled to begin in mid-March, with an anticipated opening date later this year.

 “This latest project is part of our continuing investment in our store base to enhance the shopping experience for our customers and best meet their grocery needs,” said Nicholas Bertram, president of The Giant Co. “Today’s customers are looking for quick, easy and affordable meal solutions, allowing families to spend more time together around the table. Our new Doylestown store will feature amenities and offerings to bring convenience front and center for our customers.”

In addition to a focus on meal solutions, the new store will also feature expanded hot foods and ready-to-eat offerings; an updated Beer & Wine Eatery; and an in-store Starbucks kiosk. Additional details about the store will be shared at a later date, the company said.

Current Doylestown team members will transfer to the new store, but the company anticipates hiring additional team members, as well.

The Giant Co. has more than 35,000 employees supporting nearly 190 stores, 132 pharmacies, 105 fuel stations, and more than 145 online pickup hubs and grocery delivery service.
