The annual grocery industry event takes place later this month in Las Vegas and is expected to draw thousands of supermarket professionals to the educational sessions and trade show.
The countdown for Groceryshop, the annual premier grocery store conference, is on, and supermarket professionals are setting meetings and planning their itineraries for the expo, which is expected to draw thousands of participants to the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas.
The event, which runs from Sept. 19-21, will feature supermarket thought leaders and top professionals, including keynote speakers such as Kroger Chairman and CEO Rodney McMullen, Ahold Delhaize USA CEO JJ Fleeman and Hy-Vee Presidents Donna Tweeten and Aaron Wiese.
Other Groceryshop speakers include:

"For the first time ever, the entire Groceryshop community has the opportunity to use our incredible tech platform to request a bespoke schedule of meetings tailored to their exact collaboration requirements," said Groceryshop Global President Sophie Wawro in a statement. "These aren’t just speculative connections. Every single one of the 25,000 meetings taking place will be double opt-in, meaning the people sitting on both sides of the table will be there because they recognize the potential of that connection to be transformative to their business."
This year’s expo is expected to have a record-breaking turnout, with more than 5,000 attendees from more than 40 countries. More than 400 sponsoring companies will also attend the conference, according to a Groceryshop press release.
This year’s event also offers a diverse range of speakers, with women leading nearly half of the presentations and a third representing diverse groups, according to event organizers.
The event is also featuring a new way for grocers and industry professionals to connect, via the organization’s online Meetup portal, which enables attendees to schedule meetings and tap into networking opportunities.
