In-store events and demonstrations had been a mainstay for many grocers to provide an experiential shopping environment for customers. But with social distancing recommendations, those events can no longer happen in person. Fairfield, Ohio-based Jungle Jim’s is meeting customers where they are with a series of livestream events on its Facebook page.

“Jungle Jim's has a cure for your boredom while you're at home. We will be hosting a series of Live Streams led by our experts and even Jungle Jim himself,” the event page notes. Three live streams are currently scheduled for the week of April 20, running from 3-4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Monday’s event will be hosted by Somer Wilson, cheese expert at Jungle Jim’s Eastgate store. Wilson will be walking viewers through the basics of creating a movie night charcuterie board at home, and watchers are encouraged to ask questions and learn more about the balance of delicious cheese, meats and other board ingredients.

On April 22, a live question and answer session will be hosted by Oscar Event Center's Executive Chef James Trent. Trent will focus on topics suggested by Jungle Jim’s customers as well as others that are asked during the live stream event.

The live stream finale will be Jungle Jim himself on April 24. He will be at the Fairfield store and share how he created the famous store. It is a great way for people to see the store if they can’t travel there themselves.
