"This year, independent grocers have proved how vital they are to healthy communities as they stepped up to the plate to answer their customers' needs during the pandemic. They are innovative operators that often go unrecognized. Our Remarkable Independents recognition program aims to honor those independents that provide service, quality and value to their customers and make their stores great places to work and shop," WGB Editor-in-Chief Jennifer Strailey said.
