Sam's Club Expands Same-Day Pickup Program Nationwide

Sam's Club has extended its pickup program nationwide as e-commerce competition continues to heat up. 

The Club Pickup option is free to all Sam's Club members and can be ordered through the wholesaler's website or app. Customers receive a text or email letting them know that their order is ready within four hours. 

While many grocery pickup services are limited to primarily food, Sam's Club allows customers to choose from a wide variety of items, including office supplies and even grills and mattresses. Merchandise such as jewelry apparel, mobile phones and reading material is excluded. 

However, the catch is that the order cannot exceed 15 items to qualify for same-day pickup. 

According to the retailer, the most popular items ordered for pickup have been fresh foods such as produce and meat. 

The wholesaler's drive-up option is not yet available in all stores, but the retailer offers it at "many" locations, according to company officials.
