Stater Bros. Unveils Sleeker Look, Expanded Offerings

Tradition meets modernity for SoCal grocer’s refreshed and recently opened stores. Grocer is rolling out an updated look and shopping experience for Southern California customers.

This summer has been a busy one for Stater Bros. of San Bernardino, Calif., which has celebrated a slew of grand reopenings each month. This week marks the grand reopenings of three of its California stores in Lake Forest, Lancaster and Palmdale.

Like the six grand reopenings last month and the four in June, the refreshed stores feature fresh-cut fruit stations, expanded beer and wine offerings, FujiSan handcrafted sushi, energy-efficient LED lighting and new wood laminate flooring.

Coinciding with the revamped and new store openings, the supermarket chain with 172 stores in Southern California is also rolling out a new logo. The grocer explained its updated look and feel to shoppers in its weekly mailer.

“We've had a great past; this is all about the future,” said the flyer. “More than just a new look, this update represents a renewed commitment to our tradition of quality, value, community and service. When you see a storefront with this logo it's just the beginning. You will experience offerings such as fresh-cut fruit sushi, vacuum-marinated meats, as well as an increased selection of gluten-free and vegan offerings.”

With the caption, “If you haven’t seen us lately, you haven’t seen us at all,” Stater Bros. is also promoting its new look and offerings on its website, which invites visitors to check out its updated shopping experience on YouTube.

Calling the transformation “tradition for our generation,” Stater Bros. reportedly plans to have refurbished the interiors of 45 of its stores by October.
