A worker at a Roundy's distribution center in Oconomowoc, Wis., killed two fellow employees at the center overnight March 16 before killing himself following a police chase, the Associated Press reported March 17.

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that two police officers had identified the suspected shooter as Fraron Cornelius, 41, of Wauwatosa, Wis. Teamsters Local 200 official Thomas Bennett had earlier told AP that all three individuals who died were men in their 40s and all were union members. The two shooting victims were located in different areas of the facility, he said.

Roundy's is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cincinnati-based Kroger. The Oconomowoc distribution center, which employs around 1,000 people, is about 30 miles west of Milwaukee, where Roundy's is based. Roundy's operates more than 150 retail stores in Wisconsin and Indiana under the Pick 'n Save, Copps, Metro Market and Mariano's banners.

"Our hearts go out to the two workers in Oconomowoc whose lives were taken by gun violence," Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers tweeted.

Oconomowoc police responded to a "tactical situation" at the warehouse and located two victims, a local Fox TV affiliate reported. Oconomowoc police identified a suspect and requested assistance in finding the potential suspect's vehicle; that vehicle was spotted about 4:45 a.m. and a pursuit ensued, ending with the vehicle crashing in Milwaukee. The suspected shooter then died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Fox6 reports.

Teamsters Local 200, in a statement from Secretary-Treasurer Bennett, said it was aware of the situation and would withhold comment until local authorities have completed their investigation. Local 200 has been in contact with Roundy's union stewards and Kroger corporate management in Cincinnati, Bennett stated.

"With respect to our membership and their families, we offer our sincere thoughts and prayers," he wrote.
