In Trader Joe’s latest podcast, Episode 35: A Trader Joe’s Shopping List to Liven Up Your Spring Eating, marketing team members Tara Miller and Matt Sloan are at it again, breaking down the latest flavors, scents and must-haves for spring. Here are six trends Trader Joe’s sees flourishing in the weeks ahead.

1. Gaga for Grapefruit

Trader Joe’s new Grapefruit Body Butter joins the grocer’s “incredibly popular line of body butters,” said Sloan. Like previous versions, the new body butter is coconut oil-based. It also contains aloe and is expected to land in stores now.

The grocer’s new Ruby Red Grapefruit Segments are peeled and in a package for ready-to-eat convenience. “Many people don’t care for the slight bitterness that comes in the taste of a fresh grapefruit and that bitterness is in the inside, the membrane and that white pithy part. And this gets rid of all that,” said Sloan.

2. Fermented Beverage Fever

With consumers sipping on kombucha, kefir water and drinking vinegars, Trader Joe’s is ready to take on the fermented beverage trend with two new organic sparkling apple cider vinegar drinks in Ginger Lemon and Lemon Strawberry.

3. Gluten-Free Baked Goods

Both Miller and Sloan swear the grocer’s new Gluten-Free Cinnamon Coffee Cake Muffins are “incredibly moist.” Miller recommends warming them in the oven or microwave for a few seconds, “because I feel like having them warm might enhance that flavor even further because they’re so cinnamon-y,” she said.

4. Cold Brew Creations

Trader Joe’s new Cold Brew Coffee and Boba Coconut Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert features cold brew coffee plant-based ice cream with boba. “There’s something really cool to me about the combination of the coffee flavor and the boba, the little tapioca pearls,” said Miller. The product is not only nondairy, but vegan as well.

5. Cauliflower Cacophony

“One of my big takeaways is there is nothing cauliflower can’t do,” said Miller. Enter Trader Joe’s new Creamy Cauliflower Jalapeno Dip, made with cream cheese, parmesan and ricotta cheese. As the main ingredient is cauliflower, each serving is just 40 calories.

6.Global Melting Pot

East meets West in Trader Joe’s new Vegetable Samosa Burrito. A vegan samosa-inspired filling of potatoes, cauliflower, carrots and peas with savory spice tomato chutney is embraced in a flour tortilla. “It’s kind of perfect,” Miller gushed about the new product that can be found in the refrigerated case of Trader Joe’s. Made and delivered daily, the burrito has 480 calories, 11 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber.
