Regnier is only the company’s second CFO in 60 years. His predecessor in that role, Sue Kesey, co-founded the company with her husband Chuck in 1960. Sue Kesey has held the position of CFO as well as other business functions since the company’s inception. She will assume the role of CEO and continue to be active in Springfield Creamery’s day-to day operations, the company said.

“Through the years, I have worn many hats and have been blessed to work alongside my children, grandchildren and an amazing team dedicated to our mission. We were fortunate to find Ed—he is smart, savvy and a natural fit with our team. Transitioning my responsibilities of CFO to him allows me to step back and take a better overview of things,” Sue Kesey said. “As we round out our 60th anniversary in business, we continue to evolve our organization, which is important to Nancy’s for current and future growth. Since joining the company, Ed has been instrumental in this process. I couldn’t be happier that we’ve added Ed to our management team.”

Regnier joined Springfield Creamery in 2018 as assistant chief financial officer. In this role he worked closely with Sue and other members of the Kesey family to upgrade and implement new systems that could scale with their growing business and provide new financial insights into the business. Prior to joining the company, he served as Pproject manager for Chambers Construction Co., and, before that, as project manager for PCL Construction in Seattle. During his 10 years running large, multiphase construction projects, he was responsible for managing large teams and resources to deliver high-quality projects on time and under budget.

“My wife and I have been loyal consumers of Nancy’s for years. Not only have we always loved the product, but also their philosophy of what food should be. The chance to work with wonderful people who have invested in the community for 60 years and continue to make products that I’m an avid believer in was an incredibly fortuitous alignment. I feel very fortunate that my skillset and experience lined up with what they needed,” said Regnier. “It’s an exciting time of growth at Nancy’s. I look forward to continuing to be part of a company with both a mission that I believe in and a strong management team focused on its next chapter of growth.”

Regnier holds an MBA from University of Oregon’s Charles H. Lundquist College of Business. He lives in Eugene, with his wife and two daughters.
