J&J to Acquire ConAgra's Frozen Handhelds

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — J&J Snack Foods Corp. has entered into an agreement to acquire ConAgra Foods' frozen handheld business, including its private labels and the Patio, Hand Fulls, Holly Ridge Bakery, Villa Taliano and Top Picks brands, it announced Monday. Closing of the transaction is expected sometime this May.

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — J&J Snack Foods Corp. has entered into an agreement to acquire ConAgra Foods' frozen handheld business, including its private labels and the Patio, Hand Fulls, Holly Ridge Bakery, Villa Taliano and Top Picks brands, it announced Monday.

Closing of the transaction is expected sometime this May.

“This is a fine line of products that will expand our portfolio of brands to existing and new venues,” said Gerald Shreiber, president and chief executive officer of J&J Snack Foods, in a prepared statement.


J&J Snack Foods products include Superpretzel soft pretzels, Luigi’s frozen ices and Churros churros, among others.
