"Candy Bowl" Promotion Asks Fans to Choose Between Snickers and Skittles

Fans are incentivized to proclaim their favorite brand between Snickers and Skittles for a chance to win tickets to the 2017 regular season NFL game of their choice.

Mars Chocolate and Wrigley have introduced its Candy Bowl promotions, which challenges fans of all 32 teams to declare their allegiance to one of the company's iconic brands—either Team Snickers or Team Skittles. 

Through the promotion, fans are incentivized to proclaim their favorite brand between Snickers and Skittles for a chance to win tickets to the 2017 regular season NFL game of their choice. In addition to the Grand Prize NFL tickets, fans will have the chance to win one of 50,000 prizes, including Team Snickers and Team Skittles apparel.

"When it comes to game day, everyone has their favorite treat to fill their 'Candy Bowl,'" says Allison Miazga-Bedrick, director of the Snickers brand. "Now, fans will have the chance to show how loyal they are to their favorite candy—and since both Snickers and Skittles are two of America's favorites, everyone is a winner."

"Everyone loves a little friendly competition, on and off the field," said Matt Montei, senior director at Wrigley U.S. Confections. "Snickers and Skittles are giving fans the chance to show off which side of the candy aisle they stand on, and offering America another rooting interest throughout the NFL season with the 'Candy Bowl.'"

To enter, fans can text the image or the approved keyword of their choice—Team Snickers or Team Skittles—to 87654, or go to Candy Bowl's website between Dec. 12 and Feb. 27, 2017.

Fans can look for special 'Candy Bowl' displays in retailers nationwide for more information about the promotion.
