At just 10,000 square feet, Straub’s Market’s four family-owned and -operated gourmet stores in St. Louis are comparable in size to New York City supermarkets, says owner and VP Jack “Trip” Straub, a fourth generation member of the family business that was established in 1901.
To set the stores apart, Straub scouts out unique finds at the Specialty Food Association’s annual Fancy Food shows and sources from local artisans who also produce some of its store brands.
