SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper here said on Tuesday it has named Troy Johnson vice president of deli/foodservice.

He most recently had been senior director of prepared foods and commissary development at Ahold USA in Carlisle, Pa.

In his new position, Johnson will be responsible for the merchandising of the deli and foodservice areas, including specialty cheese, and will oversee all aspects of purchasing, inventory management, sales promotions and financials of the deli and foodservice areas for the 130-store chain. He reports to Keith Frosceno, group vice president of fresh foods merchandising.
