NEW YORK — Drug chain Duane Reade will roll out new organic and eco-friendly private-label products tomorrow, as well as a new loyalty program to encourage green purchases, SN has learned.

The EcoClub will run under Duane Read’s FlexRewards program, which awards members two points for every dollar spent. Each time 500 points are earned, FlexRewards members get a $5 reward to spend in-store.

EcoClub members get double points each time they buy an environmentally-friendly product. Shoppers can sign up at www.duanereade.com/ecoclub.

Among the new private-label items that qualify: Apt. 5 100% Degradable Trash Bags; Apt. 5 75% tree-free facial and bath tissue; and Apt. 5 stainless steel, BPA-free bottles.

The retailer also has launched an exclusive Urban Luggage reusable tote bag for 99 cents. The new green store brands join dozens of other new private-label items that are rolling out tomorrow. Many are marketed under the “DR Delish” label, including organic salsa, wheat crackers, seltzer and gluten-free ginger snaps.
