Earth Fare debuts quarterly magazine
The Clean Plate offers mix of information, deals

Earth Fare has launched a new quarterly magazine that offers information about such topics as antibiotic-free meats, non-GMO ingredients and plant-based eating, along with sale prices on the types of foods described.
The debut of The Clean Plate comes a year after the Asheville, N.C.-based natural and organic specialty retailer launched its “Live Longer with Earth Fare” campaign promoting clean eating.
“At Earth Fare, we believe that healthy food should be accessible to all Americans,” said Frank Scorpiniti, president and CEO at the 44-store chain. “The Clean Plate not only showcases the breadth of selection available at Earth Fare, but also illustrates how best to incorporate those products into our everyday lives.”
Earth Fare’s “Food Philosophy” seeks to ensure that all products it offers contain no high-fructose corn syrup, artificial fats, trans fats, artificial colors, artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners, bleached or bromated flour, and are never administered antibiotics or growth hormones.
The magazine touches on categories throughout the store, including cleaning products. It also highlights several of the chain’s 1,100 Earth Fare private label items, including such new items as naturally flavored sparkling waters, organic frozen riced vegetables and organic children’s cereals.
The second issue of The Clean Plate is due out in April.
