Hamblen Named SVP-Marketing at Family Dollar

Family Dollar Stores said Monday that it has named Don Hamblen senior vice president, customer marketing. He will report to Dorlisa Flur, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.

MATTHEWS, N.C. — Family Dollar Stores said Monday that it has named Don Hamblen senior vice president, customer marketing. He will report to Dorlisa Flur, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.

Hamblen began his marketing career as a brand manager with Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati. He most recently was chief marketing officer at Sears, and before that he headed the marketing department at Payless Shoesource.

"Don brings extensive experience in communicating to a broad and diverse retail customer base," said Flur. "Through his leadership we’ll enhance communications to our customers and reinforce our position of value and convenience through our portfolio of private-label brands and an improved in-store shopping experience.”
