LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets has launched a mobile application that allows customers to search for Publix locations and download weekly sales fliers on their handheld digital devices.

The site, located at m.publix.com, allows customers to download driving directions to specific stores and includes phone numbers and operating hours. Customers can search for locations near specific tourist attractions, or search by type store services offered, such as pharmacy.

In addition, customers can sign up to receive text messages about produce offerings through a service called At Season's Peak, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel.
