With five pavilions addressing specific needs, GlobalShop 2015 promises retailers a wide array of in-store solutions.

1 logo in a gray background | 1Ask any supermarket executive what their corporate goals are and it is likely they will express the importance of staying ahead of trends and developing a better understanding of evolving consumer behavior. According to the organizers of GlobalShop, the 2015 show is designed to do just that.

For 23 years running, GlobalShop, the annual event for retail design and shopper marketing, has been a “must-attend” for retailers. Three days of conference programs will run concurrent to 200,000-square-feet of exhibit space. Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas will once again serve as home base for this year’s conference taking place March 24-26.

This year’s show features practical takeaways and specialized conference tracks, plus a few new events thrown in. The show floor is broken out into five sections including store fixtures, visual merchandising, store design and operations, the digital store and at-retail marketplace. This year’s keynote speaker, Nadia Shouraboura, CEO and founder of Hointer, will offer tips on how to implement e-commerce best practices in a brick-and-mortar environment.

Conference highlights also include Path to Purchase: Destination Bricks-and-Mortar Centerpiece Exhibit, note GlobalShop officials. Centerpiece will provide in-store solutions in several key areas including in-store fulfillment, endless aisle product, signage, graphics and wayfinding, showroom solutions, point of sale systems, social media and shopper engagement, officials add.

In addition, GlobalShop has recently partnered with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), which means new education and networking opportunities will be offered at this year’s show. IIDA officials will also serve as judges for product competitions such as Best of GlobalShop. Doug Hope, GlobalShop founder and show director, believes the partnership represents an ideal opportunity to combine store design with interior design.

“Increasingly, design within retail is moving toward lifestyle design, the goal of which is creating interiors where consumers feel comfortable,” says Hope.

GlobalShop not only showcases the latest store fixtures and design, but the methodologies and technological best practices that will push retailers into the future. As such, a comprehensive array of companies and in-store solutions can be found on the GlobalShop show floor this year.

Here is a brief look at some of the exhibitors and what they plan to highlight at the show:

For decades, retail lighting designers, architects and business owners have turned to Amerlux for technical and aesthetic agility. The company’s streamlined, high-performing, energy-efficient retail systems are designed to maximize performance and style while minimizing usage, installation and maintenance costs.

“We strive constantly toward smaller, crisper, more powerful LED illumination,” says Bill Plageman, vice president of marketing, product management and customer support. “Our award-winning Hornet family enriches retail presentation artistry, magnifies design possibilities and ultimately enhances sales.”

Plageman says the new Producer LED linear aisle light changes the game in clarity and efficacy for vertical aisle-shelf illumination, adding that Amerlux’s new Cylindrix III Mini delivers remarkable output from a tiny light source, powerfully showcasing selling floors.

Jensen says retailers should attend GlobalShop 2015 to keep themselves up-to-date on the new ideas and trends in the retail industry, to meet key service providers and to become familiar with individuals and companies involved in the wide expanses of the retail business network.

By better understanding the current trends and tendencies, Rihtarchik says the company can improve its offerings and better help customers achieve their goals.

The comprehensive services offered by the Retail Service Division at RGIS include fixture moves and installations, gondola moves, signage and graphic installation and merchandising.
