A barbecue will be held Sat., Aug. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of its Flagstaff store in the Fort Valley Shopping Center. All proceeds benefit the Wildland Firefighter Association.

Area firefighters contained a June 24 fire that started on the store’s roof. No one was injured and after repairs, the store has reopened.

“Join us in expressing gratitude to the Flagstaff firefighters who saved our store, to our hardworking members and to our customers and the community for your awesome support,” Bashas’ wrote in a Facebook post.

The menu will include various barbecue foods, including hot dogs with coleslaw and a drink for $5. The Flagstaff Fire Department will attend, and have one of its engines on display.
