DAYTON, Ohio — As a commitment to sustainability, Dorothy Lane Market has introduced private-label compostable plates and bowls.

Made from sugarcane fibers, the DLM-brand products are 100% biodegradable and gluten free, according to Dorothy Lane’s Facebook page.

The plates are microwaveable, oven proof and freezer safe. The line comes in 9-inch plates, three-compartment 10-inch plates and bowls.

“Being water and oil resistant makes them the perfect paper product for all your dining needs,” Dorothy Lane writes in promotional materials.
